WHAT WE DO
We are a student club that designs, manufactures, and races an off-road vehicle in the international SAE BAJA competitions.
Our mission is to provide our members the opportunity to become the best students BCIT can offer. Over 90 members from 9 faculties come together to solve real engineering and business problems, learning what cannot be taught in the classroom.
OUR VISION - TOP 10 TEAM BY 2030
BCIT Racing is currently BC’s top BAJA SAE team and 5th overall from Canada as of the 2025 Maryland competition.
Despite being one of the newest teams, we are one of the fastest improving. From non-qualifying in our 2023 debut, we have now placed 13th/100 schools in the main endurance race, all within 2 carframes over 3 years.
We strive to maintain this level of improvement, earning our spot within the top 10 and challenging the best teams from across the world.

The Car and Competition
The Mk4 – Mt. Ambition, was our first car; designed and manufactured in-house, before debuting at BAJA California 2024. It would finish 13th/100 in the endurace race at BAJA Arizona 2025.

BCIT Racing brings together students from all programs to collaborate on the design, manufacturing, and integration of all our components. Meet our mangement team that help coordinate our process.
